Go Volunteer Gambia is part of the Gunjur Project organisation based in South Gambia. It was founded in 2005 by a British family with professional experience in youth, community and social care.
Together with their Gambian partner, who introduced them to Gunjur in the early 2000s, they built the Gunjur Project lodge to provide a dedicated space for volunteers and groups to stay while engaging in community activities.
Each volunteering opportunity is carefully risk-assessed and planned in collaboration with community partners.
The lodge is situated in the southern region of The Gambia, within the lively and diverse coastal fishing village of Gunjur.
The lodge provides a variety of high-quality services, ensuring a comfortable and enriching experience for all guests.
There is a variety of accommodation options to suit different needs, including family rooms, student rooms and spaces for couples or friends.
Whether you’re visiting solo or with a group, we can accommodate you. Groups also have the option to block book rooms together for a more convenient stay.
Our exceptional catering team are trained to British Safety food standards and are ready to serve you with delicious meals catering to dietary requirements including vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly options.
