Volunteer Stories: Elaine Bailey‎

My family have been to the Gunjur Project Lodge for the past 2 years we absolutely fell in love with the place, it has had a huge impact on my 9yr old who has ADHD, Jo organised for him to go to the local school and read with the children , although he struggles, in Gambia he is way ahead of the local children, it gave him a huge confidence boost which went on to him to leading class assembly back home with a talk about what he achieved!!

Myself…. well… I have a home, my family are well and I really don’t have complaints…im gratefully humbled, I intend to return again and again…. to give even the smallest amount of time or effort for the biggest smiles and the warmest welcome…

Its amazing the feeling inside it gives you that today u may have changed or had a positive impact on others less fortunate, I LOVE YOU GPL xx
